4 Effects Cheating has on Mental Health
1. It creates a change in brain chemistry - When in love, the body releases dopamine, a neurotransmitter responsible for feelings of happiness and euphoria. This is part of the reason why some people feel addicted to love. The downside to this addiction is that when your partner betrays your confidence with someone else, your body may experience feelings of withdrawal.
2. Effects of children - 70% will have difficulty trusting others, 75% will experience lingering feelings of anger and betrayal toward the adulterous parent, and 80% will have altered images of their future romantic relationships.

4. Cheating can cause doubts - Partner cheating will make you suspicious of everyone you enter a relationship with from that point forward. Finding out your partner has been unfaithful will cause you to wonder what you did wrong or why you weren’t enough for them. This self-doubt can spiral into low self-esteem, which can take years to recover.
