Another building pad and site prep project completed in Elk River, MN. 🚜

From preparing the site and dialing in the building pad to installing a custom boulder wall, every part of the project was built with the finished product in mind.

Another transformation completed the Prairie way. 🌿

Josey, one of our great clients, wanted to completely scrap the old, worn-out landscaping around their cabin in Backus, MN and give the property a fresh new look.

We removed the existing landscaping and replaced it with 3/4” river rock, complemented by beautiful Belgian Stone paver edging. We also completely reconfigured the existing retaining wall, straightening it out to create a cleaner layout and provide much-needed access around the property.

The result is a cleaner, more functional landscape that fits the cabin and will be built to last.

From tearing out the old to putting the finishing touches on the new — Dirt Work Done Darn Right.

Progress on another Site Prep & Slab-on-Grade Foundation! 🚧

A little progress update — and a little behind-the-scenes look at what goes on when you’re running a dirt work business.

We’re getting this site prepped and set up for the slab-on-grade foundation, making sure everything is brought to the proper elevations and prepared for what comes next. Built to last starts with getting the dirt work right.

And then there’s the other side of the business… 😂

Our CAT 239D3 decided to throw us a curveball and blew two transmission hoses, putting the machine down for a bit. Breakdowns, setbacks, unexpected expenses — they’re all part of the game.

The important part is how you respond.

Every setback gives us an opportunity to learn, improve our processes, take better care of our equipment, and come back stronger. We’re not interested in cutting corners when things get tough. We fix it, learn from it, and keep moving.
