KDI is looking for a Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineer in our Rogers, MN location. This position provides ample opportunities for growth with a wide variety of functions.
Description:
Are you tired of doing the same thing every day? KDI is a contract manufacturer working in the medical and commercial business areas with a wide selection of customers and products. We specialize in low to medium volume builds in the electro mechanical and mechanical product areas. KDI is looking for an Manufacturing Engineer that can handle multiple tasks on a wide variety of products. The responsibilities for this position run from designing parts, determining assembly processes, assisting in the quoting process, implementing process improvements and working directly with customers. The person in this position will be involved with manufacturing processes that include machining, assembly, cable assembly, laser marking and electrical safety testing.
Essential Functions:
• Proficient with the use of SolidWorks
• Understanding of business operating systems. KDI uses Epicor for its ERP system.
• Good verbal and written skills
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Able to multi-task and prioritize activities based upon project priorities
• Willingness to learn new things and implement new technology
• Plan and perform Process Validations
• Prepare Risk Management Plans and PFMEA's
• Prepare and implement Engineering Change Orders
• Lead Lean and Process improvement activities

Qualifications/Education:
• Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
• Minimum of 2 years of related job experience
• Proficient with Solidworks
