From complex criminal investigations to presidentially appointed leadership, Mike East brings decades of experience protecting people, organizations, and assets.

Before joining SafeHaven Security Group, Mike spent 28.5 years as a Special Agent with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, investigating cases ranging from homicide and corruption to narcotics trafficking and embezzlement. He also spent 20 years training law enforcement professionals in crisis negotiation and worked alongside the U.S. Secret Service on numerous dignitary protection details.

From 2019–2022, Mike served as the presidentially appointed and U.S. Senate-confirmed United States Marshal for the Eastern District of North Carolina, overseeing judicial security, enforcement operations, prisoner transport, asset forfeiture, and other U.S. Marshals Service operations.

Mike brings that extensive background to SafeHaven Security Group, supporting clients through investigations, executive protection, crisis management, and other complex security challenges.
