Microsoft will be effectively bricking the standalone Office 2019 for Mac, iPad, and iPhone users on July 13, 2026. There's not much you can do about it, other than buy again, or subscribe to Office 365.

Chrome stealth AI install even worse
Google’s stealth Chrome AI install load is even worse than previously noted, as a MacInTouch reader explained via email.

Ric, the 4GB download by Chrome story is even worse for my computer labs – because the 4GB AI code installs into the user library, it installs for each​ user of the computer when they launch Chrome. I have lab computers that have 10-20 different users during the course of a week. We cleaned 60GB of this malicious Chrome AI weights file from a single lab computer!
