Missouri-Rolla Mine Rescue The S&T Mine Rescue team was the first collegiate team to compete against industry, and we continue to compete against the best teams in the Nation.

It all started in 1940, when MSM offered the first Mine Rescue class, since then we have worked hard to improve our knowledge, and our graduates continue to employ this knowledge in today's industry. Our Mine Rescue team began competing against industry professionals in 1985 and we were the only school to do so. Since then, we have been one of the only collegiate schools to maintain at least one t

eam for almost 30 years, including an all girls team in 1995. To this day we continue to improve as a team, and have always upheld the standard that was set so many years ago.
