I’m relieved to hear that South Dakota families who rely on SNAP benefits will receive their full November payments on time despite the ongoing federal shutdown.

The Department of Social Services confirmed that payments are scheduled for Monday, November 10. That’s food assistance that families count on.

Grateful to DSS and everyone working behind the scenes to make sure no South Dakotan goes without during this uncertain time.

The Cherry Todd Electric Board of Directors met with our rate consultants, Power Systems Engineering, at our February 25, 2025 board meeting to discuss the impact of the January 1, 2025 increases in wholesale power costs from our supplier, Rushmore Electric, Rapid City, SD.

Disconnects are next week for some electric companies!! If you have a past due balance you will be disconnected! Call your electric company to take care of your delinquent amount or check on the status of your bill.

❌️(RST LIHEAP Recipients if your electric bill is more than your benefit amount for electricity, you will need to contact your electric provider and pay the difference. If you are subject to be disconnected you will also need to contact your electric provider and take care of your past due balance. If you are receiving propane, fuel oil, or wood, you are responsible for your electric bill. Please be cognizant of your energy usage during the winter months.)❌️
