Facebook friends I need your help to spread the word.

Over the last year one of our employees at Long’s Building Supply, Inc has been battling medical issues. Michael Mincher began to really start struggling this fall. Michael was out back at work and actually went into a seizure, Bo immediately called an ambulance. This is where everything started and Mike was able to finally get his doctor’s attention as he had been trying too. In October Mike became so ill that he no longer could work. Mike was finally able to find out his diagnosis, sadly it is stage 3 cancer in his throat. Long’s along with Wulff Bros, FX Design, K&R Contacting and Currie Legacy Construction have all partnered together to help put together a raffle to raise funds to help Mike during this time All money raise will go directly to Mike just to help ease some of the stress for his bills. We will be doing the drawing on January 17th at 5:30 live on Facebook. Please help us fight for Mike! Tickets can be purchased in the store or feel free to message me and I can bring them to you. Let’s Fight for Mike!!

SALEM, Ore. -- Soon face coverings will be required in indoor public spaces statewide, Gov. Kate Brown announced Monday.

The new requirement takes effect July 1. It applies to businesses and members of the public.

Initially, face masks were only required in eight Oregon counties.

“From the beginning of the reopening process, I have said that reopening comes with the risk of seeing an increase in COVID-19 cases beyond our health systems’ capacity to test, trace, and isolate them,” said Brown. “Over the last month, we have seen the disease spread at an alarming rate in both urban and rural counties. The upcoming July 4 holiday weekend is a critical point for Oregon in this pandemic, and we can all make a difference."

The announcement says face coverings help reduce the spread of COVID-19, and may help prevent the state from having to close businesses down again as other states are doing.

It also advises Oregonians to keep Fourth of July celebrations small and local.
