When Fear & Self-Doubt Trick You Into Submission: You Are In Survival Mode.
Fear is an essential emotion that shows up as a response to a perceived threat. Its job, deeply rooted in your subconscious, is to protect you. But more often than not, itâs working against youâbecause thereâs no real danger, only unresolved situations from the past.
Instead of safeguarding you, it steps in just when you're on the verge of something new, pulling you back into the safety of the familiar.
Your mind clings to what it knows, even when it no longer serves you. But hereâs the truth: moving forward means stepping into the unknown and challenging those old patterns.
There are 3 simple (but not easy) ways to break free:
1. Acknowledge Your Fear: Recognize it for what it isâa protective mechanism, not a prophecy. Donât try to ignore it. Simply naming your fear can diminish its power.
2. Challenge the Story: Ask yourself, âIs this fear based on my present reality or a past experience?â Challenge the narrative and replace it with one that supports your growth.
3. Take Small, Brave Steps: Fear thrives in the shadows of inaction. By taking even the smallest step forward, you show your mind that the unknown isnât as scary as it seems.
BONUS 4th Step: Find someone to guide you through proven processes to eliminate the limiting beliefs at the root of your fears.
You can do it yourselfâthere's nothing you can't spend days > months > years > Googling âbut a trained professional can guide you through it faster, with ease, and the right one will even make the process fun!
