You can tune every instrument individually and still have an orchestra that’s out of tune.

Your team works the same way.

Everyone can be talented. Everyone can be improving. But what are they all tuning to?

In an orchestra, one note becomes the reference point. Everyone adjusts to it. Then they’re ready to play together.

That’s the question I want you to ask about your salon: does your team have a shared standard, or is everyone playing their own version?

Give your people something clear to tune to.

I had a massage so good that I would’ve prebooked with that same person again and again if I lived nearby.

That’s what I want you thinking about in your salon.

What makes a guest leave thinking, “I want to book with THEM again”?

And as an owner, how do you help every person on your team create that experience?

Bring that question to your next team meeting. The answers are worth talking about.

Apparently my idea of a day off requires a harness and a safety briefing. 😂

I work hard to make room for days like this. And when the opportunity comes up, I’m usually the first one saying, “F**k yes. I’m in.”

Who’s coming next time? 🤘

Before you hit send on your next AI prompt, give it these three things:

CONTEXT - the situation it needs to understand.
CONTENT - the details and steps it needs to include.
CONCEPT - the bigger picture of what you’re creating.

If I’m building a salon training manual, I’m giving it the services, the steps, and the guest experience I want my team to deliver.

That gives it something useful to work with.

Save this for your next prompt: context, content, concept.

How many priorities are competing for your attention right now?

The team. The numbers. The next idea you want to put into action.

It’s easy to keep adding until everything feels urgent.

Overwhelm is often a signal to simplify. Get clear on what deserves your attention first and what can wait.

Look at your list today. What’s one thing you can take off it so you can give the most important thing your full attention?

Pay attention to who gets your time.

If every conversation leaves you more discouraged, more doubtful, or talking yourself out of something that matters to you, that’s worth noticing.

You can care about people and still choose how much influence they have on your life.

Spend more time with people who challenge you, encourage you, and take responsibility for their own growth.

Your circle matters. Choose it with intention.

Ever come back from a conference and have your team look at you like you’ve got three heads? 😂

You’re excited. Your notebook is full. You can see all the things that could make the salon better.

Your team hears: “Here comes a whole new list of things we have to do.”

Then nothing happens, and you’re wondering why nobody’s taking action.

They may be overwhelmed, too.

Before you bring back another list of ideas, ask yourself: Have I made the first step clear?

Pick one thing to work on together. Give the team a place to start.

You wouldn’t expect a brand-new assistant to know how you want everything done on day one.

That’s how I think about giving AI instructions.

“Prompt engineering” sounds complicated. Start with something familiar: explaining what you need clearly.

What’s the task? What context matters? What should the finished result look like?

The next time you write a prompt, ask yourself: Would a new person understand what I’m asking for?

If you’d need to explain more to them, add that detail to your prompt.

Some friends need the full itinerary. My favorite ones just need a time and a place.

“F**k yes. I’m in.”

Grateful for the friends who bring that energy. Life’s a lot more fun with you in it.

Send this to your f**k yes friend. 🤘
