Busy weekend! Picked up grapes from Del Rey @ 7:30a and drove back home by 12:00p. Thank you, Frank Colavita and Son. Destemmed, crushed and pressed(white) by 6:00p. Clean up until 9:00. Numbers look decent. Pitched the yeast on the chard last night and will be pitching the cab tonight. Thank you to my helpers for stomping and drinking-Kevin, Jen, Brandi, Steph, Kim and my beautiful wife Tiffany for take pictures and video.

Veraison. My favorite part of the growing season. Netting is in place to keep the birds off. Should have enough to make at least a gallon from my own grapes this year. I’ll be sourcing about 1/4 ton this year from central CA. Might do a white this year…Any suggestions?
