Security awareness training only matters if employees know what to do when a real situation happens.

• A suspicious email.
• An unexpected request for guest information.
• A questionable login attempt.
• A message that appears to come from an executive.

The goal isn’t simply to complete training. It’s to help people recognize risks and make secure decisions when it counts.

Venza Learning delivers hospitality-focused training designed to help teams turn knowledge into action across roles, shifts, and properties.

A front desk employee, a manager, and a cybersecurity leader don’t face the same risks.

So why should they receive the same security awareness training?

Venza Learning provides training across three levels to address different responsibilities:

Basic: Essential security awareness for all staff
Intermediate: Practical risk guidance for managers and corporate teams
Advanced: Strategic cybersecurity insight for leaders

Because relevant training is easier to apply when it reflects the decisions people actually make.

If you could improve one thing about your organization’s security awareness training, what would it be?

Meet Giant Company: Don’t take their bait Giant Company was one name for a massive scam operation based in Myanmar but targeting regular Americans like you and your grandma. Almost 300 people were arrested in connection with the Giant Company, and 9 scam centers were disrupted as part of the crackdown. But Giant Company is a drop in an ocean of scams. Scammers and phishing attackers impersonate your bank, your boss, a delivery company, customer support, or even a family member. They want you to click their links, take their phone calls, open their DMs, respond to their “accidental” texts, and, eventually, send them your hard-earned money.

And now with AI, scammers can do more crime every day! These big scamming syndicates love to make you feel something and act fast.

DON’T MAKE LIFE EASY FOR GIANT COMPANY
• Be extremely suspicious of every unexpected inbound message, especially if it seems urgent
• Take a few seconds (4-9 seconds) when reviewing all communication
• Look out for urgency, like fear (“you just got hacked!”) and pressure (“you won an expensive grill!”)

You don’t need to click. You don’t need to respond. You don’t need to answer the phone. You
aren’t being rude. Their biggest enemy isn’t technology. It’s your skepticism.

PCI DSS compliance is not a one-time exercise. As technology and responsibilities evolve, the knowledge behind your program needs to evolve too.

That’s why Venza continues to expand its PCI DSS Learning Path.

The newest addition is:

Secure Software Development
The seventh course in the learning path is designed for hospitality developers, engineers, and technical teams responsible for building or maintaining software that handles account data or can affect the Cardholder Data Environment.

The five-minute course covers:

• PCI DSS requirements for hospitality software
• Secure software development practices
• Secure coding standards
• Code review and testing
• Vulnerability management
• Authentication and access controls
• Account-data protection
• Payment-page scripts and change control

Available in 10 languages, it gives technical teams practical, hospitality-specific guidance they can apply.

As hospitality technology becomes more interconnected, security requirements continue to evolve. Venza keeps expanding the learning path so organizations can address new areas without adding unnecessary complexity.

Relevant content. Practical guidance. Training designed around how hospitality teams actually work.

Seven New courses. One evolving learning path.

Security awareness only works when people can understand it, apply it, and remember it.

That’s why Venza continues to expand multilingual learning for hospitality teams around the world.

Our newest training content is available across languages including: Arabic | Chinese | Dutch | English | French | German | Portuguese | Russian | Spanish | Thai

Because hotel teams are diverse, distributed, and operating around the world, security training needs to work for the people actually using it.

Venza makes it easier to bring relevant training to different roles, properties, and teams without adding unnecessary complexity.

Content that keeps pace with the industry. Training built for real-world hospitality environments. Knowledge teams can put into practice.

Meet Cozy Bear: Roar back with software updates

Cozy Bear, a cybercriminal organization backed by Russia, stays in business by constantly hunting for outdated and unpatched software. Sometimes, the hunt is simple – the moment a company releases a software update, they study it to see what vulnerabilities it fixes. Then they peek around the web for companies and people who haven’t installed it yet. In a way, they get a how-to guide for infecting your machine. Every day you click “Remind Me Later” for an update is another day Cozy Bear hopes you’re vulnerable... and they want to make your life a lot less cozy.

DON’T MAKE LIFE EASY FOR COZY BEAR
• Turn on automatic updates whenever possible
• Check regularly that operating systems, browsers, apps, and devices are updated
• Restart devices when updates require it

Updates don’t just add features. They are full of Bear repellent. Most operating system updates
take 5 minutes or less, even including restarting your device. Just do it when prompted, enjoy
the little break, and don’t make it easy for them!

Hospitality is global. Security awareness should be too.

Venza continues to expand multilingual learning so hospitality organizations can deliver relevant security education across diverse teams and properties.

Our learning content is available in: Arabic • Chinese • Dutch • English • French • German • Portuguese • Russian • Spanish • Thai and more coming soon.

This is more than translating content. It is about making security education easier to understand, easier to adopt, and easier to apply across real hospitality environments.

Training that can scale across properties and teams. Content that addresses the issues hospitality organizations are facing now. Learning that employees can understand, apply, and remember.

Three principles that continue to shape how Venza builds learning for hospitality.
