In politics, we celebrate experience. That senator who's navigated 5 recessions? Asset. The president who's seen every crisis before? Wisdom. The congresswoman with 30 years of institutional knowledge? Invaluable.

But walk into any corporate "restructuring" meeting, and those same demographics suddenly become liabilities to optimize out.

Here's what blew my mind while researching this:
โ†’ Companies are hemorrhaging institutional memory they can't Google
โ†’ Age-diverse teams consistently outperform homogeneous ones
โ†’ We're discarding the most loyal employees who trained entire generations
โ†’ The "can't adapt to technology" stereotype died 20 years ago

The real kicker? While we're pushing out experienced workers, our competitors are making the same preventable mistakes these veterans could have helped us avoid.
I dove deep into this contradiction and what it's really costing businesses (spoiler: it's massive).

The companies that figure out age inclusion first won't just be doing the right thingโ€”they'll be gaining a serious competitive edge.
