The California DFPI has issued its 2026 annual assessment invoices through NMLS, and RMAi is urging licensees to take action early:

- Payment is due within 30 days of receiving your invoice.

- Failure to pay by January 2, 2027, will result in a penalty. It is recommended to pay well ahead of January 2 to avoid potential processing issues.

- RMAi is encouraging licensees to pay under protest due to concerns over the assessment fees.

RMAi, ACA International, and Progressive Management Systems are currently challenging these assessments through ongoing litigation. Paying under protest can help document the impact of these fees while meeting payment obligations.
