⚠️ THIS IS A MAJOR FIRE HAZARD hiding inside your home right now! ⚠️Take a look at this photo.
This is the inside of a clothes dryer located in Round Rock Texas that actually had a small but damaging dryer fire. They were lucky to not have it burn down their home but unfortunately it did damage the dryer beyond repair. There dryer had not been professionally cleaned since they purchased it and there dryer vent was completely clogged. That thick layer of gray and brown buildup isn't just "dust"—it is highly flammable, baked-on lint packed tightly against the electrical wiring, motor, and heating element / gas ignitor. One single spark is all it takes to trigger a catastrophic house fire.
Most people don't realize that cleaning your plastic lint screen after every load just isn't enough. Over time, micro-fibers bypass the filter, escaping into the interior cabinet and clogging up the rear dryer vent line.
Tell-tale signs your system needs immediate service:
Clothes take more than one cycle to dry.
The top or outside of the dryer feels unusually hot.
You notice a faint, musty, or burning smell.
The outdoor vent flap doesn't open fully when running.
Don't wait for a warning sign to become an emergency! Investing in annual professional maintenance and dryer vent cleanings keeps your family safe, slashes your energy bills, and extends the lifespan of your appliance.📅
