This Saturday, the Brainy Bunch is lacing up to walk for everyone living with Alzheimer's, the caregivers who show up for them every day, and the families still waiting on a cure.

Choosing who looks after your parent at home is not a decision anyone gets to practice.

You do it once, usually in a hurry, usually while something else is going wrong, with almost nothing to go on.

Round Rock has voted A Place At Home - North Austin first place for Best Senior Care Service two years running, 2024 and 2025. We asked them what that has meant.

"When we were first voted Best of Round Rock in 2024, we were just getting started. Today we display our award on our website and bring it with us to our local events."

"It's important to hire a home care agency that shows up for its community, and there is no better way to show that than by showing how the community shows up for you."

That second line is the sharpest argument anyone has made to us for why this program exists. You cannot easily check whether a care agency is good. You can check whether the families they already look after went out of their way to say so.

We’re proud to share that our co-owner, Stacey Eisenberg, is a finalist for Austin Business Woman’s 2026 Health Business/Expert of the Year award.

If you know Stacey, you know her work doesn’t end when the office closes. She helps families navigate care for the people they love, educates neighbors about Alzheimer’s, and advocates for older and vulnerable adults throughout Central Texas.

Stacey has spent her life showing up for others. We’re glad to see her recognized for it, and our whole A Place At Home – North Austin team is cheering her on.

The winner will be announced at the Star Awards Gala on November 12.
