👏 Help us congratulate two of Rowlett’s own!

Officer Justin Gilbert and Firefighter Joseph Cordon recently attended the National Honor Guard Academy in Mansfield, joining Fire, EMS and law enforcement professionals from across the country, including two members of the Maui Fire Department.

Their participation reflects the dedication, teamwork and commitment our public safety teams bring to serving our community. We’re proud to see Justin and Joseph representing Rowlett while learning alongside fellow first responders from across the nation.

Join us in congratulating them on this accomplishment and thanking them for their continued service to our community!

🔥 Fire Prevention Week was October 4-10, and the City of Rowlett recognized the importance of fire safety with a proclamation held on September 29.

While Fire Prevention Week is a great time to raise awareness, these reminders are important all year long!

🏠 Test your smoke alarms regularly.
🚪 Create a home escape plan and practice it with your family.
🧯 Keep fire extinguishers accessible and know how to use them.
🔋 Practice safe charging habits with phones, tablets and other devices. Follow manufacturer's charging instructions.

A few simple steps can make a big difference in protecting you, your family and our community.

Stay safe, Rowlett!

🚑 Two new ambulances are now serving Rowlett!

These new ambulances are officially in service out of Fire Stations 1 and 4, giving our crews additional resources to respond when our community needs us most.

One of the new ambulances is equipped with a ventilator. Pending completion of training for all personnel, we expect to have this capability in service around November.

Every call is about a neighbor, a family member or someone who needs help. We’re proud to invest in the people and resources that help keep Rowlett safe. ❤️

Station 3 had a special visit on Monday!

Our crew had a blast welcoming a wonderful family to the station for a tour. They got to check out the station, spend some time with our firefighters and, to top it all off, brought lunch for the crew.

Thank you for stopping by, spending time with our crew and showing your support. We had a great time having you at Station 3! 🚒
