Are we or aren't we going into a recession? The answer is yes and yes. This next recession is different than any other in US history. In fact many people in the lower income category entered their recession right after Covid subsidies ended. Gas and food prices are rising and effecting more and more Americans everyday. The rise in interest rates directly effects anyone with credit card balances, and anyone who needs to borrow money.
Why is this next hiccup different. This one was caused by the world closing down for Covid, a major war, technology advancements, supply chain issues, an over valued stock market, a shortage of US citizens that will do manual labor, and old policies and politicians on both side that should have retired years ago. In fact have no clue how to deal with technology issues, and have no idea how the bottom half of the economy lives.
Many industries Will flourish during this next recession and many won't.
Wake up Washinton! The standard fixes of interest rate increases are not the right answer. Common sence decision making will, if that even exists. Each and every industry needs to be examined, policy changes need to be made, if congress can take time out from fighting each other and takes time to fix the issues. Americans need to unite stop fighting with each other and start working with each other. Let's show the world democracy can and does work!
Let's not turn on the news and see baby formula shortages, school shooting and domestic terrorism. That's not America, or is it?
America, let's do the right things and celebrate America. Help your fellow citizens when helpis needed.
Sorry for ranting, I just want to see a strong, safe, and UNITED United States. Let everyone work together to get through this next economic hiccup.
I wish everyone a very safe and happy Memorial day! Remember all the soldiers who died for our freedom. Let's show them that America is still worth fighting for and they died for a just cause.
