Yesterday, HRPro and MyCarePro had the pleasure of attending the 17th Annual Michigan HR Day in Lansing 🎉

It was an incredible in-person event filled with meaningful conversations, new connections, and inspiring energy from HR and business professionals across the state.

We had an amazing time meeting so many of you—thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth and picked up an HR Stress Hammer 🔨 The world is officially a little less stressed and a lot more HR-friendly!

✅ Last Wednesday, the HRPro team had the privilege of volunteering with MCHS Family of Services at their Detroit campus—and it was truly meaningful.

👉 This campus provides a safe and supportive home for moms and their children, offering them up to two years to rebuild, regain stability, and prepare for a brighter future. Being part of a space dedicated to helping families get back on their feet was both humbling and inspiring.

👍 MCHS has been creating impact since 1917, growing from a small act of compassion into a vital network of services supporting children, families, and older adults across Michigan. Their mission to ensure everyone feels seen, heard, and cared for is something we deeply admire.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to give back and support such important work. Our MCHS Pink Team Captain was Janet Branham!

✅ Today marks Fat Tuesday, a tradition celebrated in many communities as a final day of indulgence before Lent begins. In Polish culture, it’s also widely known as Pączki Day—a day dedicated to enjoying pączki (pronounced POHNCH-key), the classic filled doughnut often made with rich dough and fruit preserves, custard, or rose jam.

👍A bit of history:
Pączki Day dates back centuries and originally served a practical purpose: using up ingredients like eggs, butter, sugar, and lard before the Lenten season. Over time, it became a beloved cultural celebration—especially across Polish-American communities.

✨ A quick calorie note (because people always ask):
A typical pączek ranges from 300–500 calories, depending on size and filling. In other words: a small but very committed dessert.

✅ Employers who are required to maintain their OSHA 300 logs for their workplace injuries and illnesses are required to post the 300A log by Feb. 1, 2026. This log must stay posted in a common area where notices to employees are posted until April 30.

✅ The Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA) is transitioning from its current Michigan Web Account Manager (MiWAM) system to a new, modern platform called MiUI. Employers and third-party administrators (TPAs) are scheduled to begin using MiUI for tax functions on February 23, 2026. Employers, TPAs, and claimants are expected to begin using MiUI for benefits functions in the summer of 2026.
