Join Royersford Borough to celebrate Royersford Community Day with a drone show on Saturday, September 12 at dusk in Railroad Plaza - near The Lewis Group and Shy Guys Coffee-R-Cade.

Sunset will be around 7:15, so shortly after we'll celebrate America's 250th (and Royersford!) with a drone show. Drone shows are like fireworks - they don't last long - so be sure to be in place as it gets dark.

Saturday, September 12 is going to be a busy day - pretty soon Anil Dham will officially deem it a Super Saturday! We'll have Community Day (with the Royersford Farmers Market) in the morning and afternoon, then the Plein Air Art exhibition outside Royersford Commons at 3:00 p.m., followed by the drone show when it gets dark.

This week, Lewis Environmental had the pleasure of showcasing our emergency response capabilities at a Safety Summit hosted by one of our valued clients.
Attendees had the opportunity to tour our staged Command Trailer, where Emergency Response Project Managers Dustyn and Eric highlighted the expertise, equipment, and preparedness that allow our team to respond safely and effectively to emergenices. Our Director of Business Development, Rob, also shared insights into the processes, tools, and technology used during emergency response operations to ensure incidents are managed safely and efficiently.

A recent trash fire serves as an important reminder: lithium-ion batteries do not belong in curbside trash. Our crews were called out to respond after improperly discarded batteries ignited in collected waste. Something as simple as throwing away a battery can create a dangerous situation for the sanitation workers handling the trash, as well as for collection vehicles and facilities. Keep our community safe by recycling batteries at designated drop-off locations.

Recently, Lewis Environmental completed Supervisor Training led by one of our Senior Vice Presidents. At Lewis, we strive to support ongoing learning and career advancement through our Employee Development Handbook, which outlines clear career pathways and growth opportunities for our team members. We are proud to see our employees embrace these opportunities to expand their skills and advance their careers, and we look forward to watching them apply their knowledge and succeed in their next roles.

Lewis Environmental was proud to be a bronze sponsor for the recent Limerick Clean Energy Center's 22nd Annual Charity Golf Outing. The money earned during this event is used to support an organization in the local community. Earnings from 2025 were used to support Barth Elementary School with building a new playground.

Our Project Management group recently spent time together at a local ax throwing venue, showcasing the same focus and determination they bring to every project. Their hard work behind the scenes keeps projects moving forward efficiently and successfully, and we couldn't be more appreciative of all they do.

The Big Boy 4014 rolled through our neck of the woods over the 4th of July holiday, and our Royersford team had a front-row seat as it passed by the office!

A special thank you to the Lewis team members who helped during our Big Boy 4014 Watch Party. Your efforts to keep everyone safe while creating a fun experience for employees and their families were greatly appreciated.

What made the event even more memorable was knowing that Lewis Environmental played a role in keeping this historic locomotive on its journey. Over the holiday weekend, our crews performed routine maintenance on Big Boy 4014, helping prepare the world's largest operating steam locomotive for the next leg of its historic tour.

It was an incredible opportunity to see this iconic piece of railroad history up close and a proud moment for our team. We're grateful to have been a part of this unforgettable experience and to contribute to ensuring the success of the train's tour.
