This rug is like no others in our collection, a true rare find. It has a mix of hand-knotted pile and soumak weaving that creates a delightfully varied texture. Soumak is a type of flatwoven textile produced by braiding around the warp threads rather than with knots. The result is more durable than a kilim, but you would care for it just the same as normal pile rugs. This rug is neat with a four by six grid with emblems and individual designs in each square. The rug is predominantly red with borders of a deeper aquamarine. The details are cream, yellow gold, and blue, and it has a short fringe.
Photos and videos only capture part of the story. We’d love for you to stop by and see the rug in person—feel the texture, take in the colors, and see how it fits your vision for your home.
