Distressed and burned…I’m honestly not in love with it yet. I know it’ll perk up once it’s assembled and has gloss clear coat on it, but this one is definitely staying in the shop. I’ve got some tweaking to do with the process to get it the way I want it to look.

There is a finite number of these carved flags that I can do realistically. Each stripe is carved by hand with a hatchet. There is no way to automate that. I have carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel syndrome. I have an idea for a new design that I’ll experiment on this flag with, combining the carved and painted flags. We’ll see how it turns out
