What an incredible turnout for Special Needs Day at the Eastern Michigan State Fair!

A heartfelt thank you to Imlay City Ford Dodge Chrysler for sponsoring this wonderful event and helping make it possible. We also want to extend our sincere appreciation to the Imlay City Eagles for volunteering their time and lending a helping hand.

Your generosity made it possible for so many people—who might not otherwise have had the opportunity—to experience the wonders of the Eastern Michigan State Fair on their own terms. Thank you for helping create such a special day!

🚨 Important Update for Operators in Louisiana

The Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal (OSFM) has announced that, effective immediately, it is exercising its statutory authority under La. R.S. 40:1484.6 and 40:1484.7 to conduct set-up inspections of all amusement rides, amusement attractions, and inflatable amusement devices operating within the state.

🔎 What this means for operators:
• OSFM will conduct inspections prior to events where devices are operated.
• Deputies have received additional training to perform these inspections.
• Operators remain primarily responsible for proper inspection and safe operation of their equipment.

đźš« If a ride, attraction, or inflatable is found to present an imminent threat to life, risk of injury, or mechanical/electrical failure, OSFM may issue a red event (impairment) tag / cease and desist order.

• The device may not operate until it has been rendered safe to the satisfaction of the State Fire Marshal or designee.
• Only a licensed third-party inspector, the State Fire Marshal, or designee may remove a red tag and replace it with a green event tag.

📢 Pursuant to state law, OSFM may also publish a list of non-compliant operators.
