There are smart people in small towns.

There are entrepreneurs here.

People with ideas are here.

People capable of building companies, creating jobs and solving problems are already here.

The question isn't whether rural communities have talent.

It's whether that talent has access to the relationships, resources, knowledge, capital and opportunities it needs to grow.

That's one of the conversations we're interested in being part of.

It’s Second Friday at The Vault.

This week’s Friday at The Vault focus is Wellness + Herbs.

There’s no formal class this Friday. Instead, Moonwater Apothecary will have an herbalist on staff from 3–7 PM.

Stop in, ask questions, explore herbs, create a custom tea blend, or simply hang out for a while.

Friday at The Vault is about giving you a reason to come through the doors, connect, learn something, and be part of what’s happening here.

Need a change of scenery to finally tackle that to-do list?

Starting Wednesday, October 7, Vault Coworx is launching Open CoWorx Working Hours from 9 AM–1 PM, Monday through Friday!

Bring your laptop, grab a workspace and get something done.

We want to create more opportunities for entrepreneurs, remote workers, small business owners and professionals in our area to work, meet, connect and cross paths.

Sometimes changing where you work helps you focus. Sometimes being in the right room leads to a conversation, connection or resource you didn’t know you needed. That’s what are are rebuilding here at Vault CoWorx!

When we talk about infrastructure for small business, we usually think about broadband, capital, workforce and transportation.

Those matter.

But there's another kind of infrastructure that's easy to overlook.

Connection.

Where does an entrepreneur meet another entrepreneur?

Where does a new business owner go when they don't know what resource they need?

Where do professionals from different industries cross paths?

Where can someone meet a client professionally without maintaining an office?

Where does the conversation happen that leads to an introduction, partnership or solution?

In larger markets, some of these collisions happen naturally because there are simply more people and more places for them to happen.

In rural communities, we may have to be more intentional about creating them.

That's part of what we're building with Vault CoWorx in Russellville, Ohio.

Not simply workspace.

Infrastructure for people, ideas and opportunities to connect.

A good book, a great drink, and even better conversation. Sounds like the perfect Thursday night!

Join us at Vault CoWorX for Sips + Stories on Thursday, October 22 at 6 PM, hosted by our friends at The Schoolhouse Book Shop right here in the Russellville community.

This month, we’re reading Mad Mabel by Sally Hepworth. With secrets, surprises, and plenty to talk about, it’s the kind of story that makes you want to compare notes the minute you finish the last page.

Our barista will also be available at the coffee bar for custom drink orders, so grab your favorite sip, find a seat, and settle in for a fun evening with fellow book lovers.

Business connections don't always happen at a networking event.

Sometimes they happen over a cup of coffee.

That's part of what we're building at Vault CoWorx: more reasons to get out, meet people, have conversations and connect right here in our own community.

Tonight is one of those opportunities.

Friday at The Vault starts at 3 PM, with our Coffee Cupping at 5:30 PM featuring coffee from Deeper Roots and chocolate from Maverick Chocolate.

Come for the coffee. Stay for the conversation.

What happens at Vault CoWorx?

Sometimes it's a business meeting.

Sometimes it's a workshop.

Sometimes it's a room full of people making new connections.

Sometimes it's simply having a professional place to sit down and get something done.

We're continuing to build Vault CoWorx as a community business hub for Russellville and the surrounding area, with space, resources, programs and opportunities to connect locally.

And we've got more coming this fall!
