Logan County ECC - KY E.C.C strives to assist the community with both emergency and non-emergency assistance through accurate and swift dispatch of appropriate agencies. E.C.C.

is a 24 hour, 365 day a year 911 dispatch for Fire, Police, and EMS. Emergency and non-emergency calls for service are normally taken via phone and dispatched over a radio to responders. E.C.C Currently dispatches for the following Agencies:

Billy Poole was a man who wore many hats, and he wore them all with honor. Throughout his life and career, he faced challenges head-on—serving bravely across law enforcement, the fire service, and acting as a fierce advocate for his community. To those of us on the other end of the radio, Billy wasn't just a unit number on a screen. He was a trusted protector on the scene, a dedicated public servant, and above all, a wonderful friend. No matter how tough the shift, knowing Billy was out there brought a sense of comfort to us all.Our thoughts, love, and deepest prayers go out to his family, friends, and everyone in the first responder community who is grieving this immense loss. Billy you will be deeply missed.

Logan County ECC is aware of the power outages affecting a large portion of the county and city of Russellville. We are unsure what the cause is, however EPB and Pennyrile are also aware and working diligently to restore power. Unfortunately, we do not have an estimated time frame for repairs at this moment. Thank you!

The Logan County Road Department has advised the bridge on Kirby Road, crossing Red River in southern Logan County, will be closed in both directions, beginning on Monday, May 18, 2026. Weather permitting, the contractor expects the closure to last one week. Those who regularly cross the Kirby Road bridge should seek an alternate route during this time. If you have questions, contact the Logan County Road Department at (270) 726-7480.
