🚨 Quick Tax Season Reminders – Please Read 🚨

Let’s clear a few things up before funding begins, especially for those who are new to filing:

✔️ When the IRS approves and releases your refund, your tax preparer only receives their tax preparation fees.
Refund banks are used strictly to separate service fees from your refund — we do not control the remaining funds or offsets.

✔️ If you notice a different bank name or routing number on your Form 1040, that is normal.
This reflects the refund bank’s account, since your refund is sent to them first and then disbursed to you.

✔️ Cash advance approvals are 100% at the discretion of the bank.
Tax preparers cannot approve, deny, speed up, or override bank decisions.

✔️ Checking “Where’s My Refund?” does NOT speed up funding.
Once the IRS approves and releases the refund, timing is controlled by the refund bank, not your preparer.

✔️ State vs. Federal Refund Processing:
If your preparer sends your state refund through the refund bank and the state funds before the federal, the state refund may be applied toward your preparation fees first.
This typically results in you receiving a larger federal refund amount once it is disbursed.

📌 Additional Important Reminders from Your Tax Pro:
• We cannot change banking information once a return is transmitted
• Banks may hold refunds for verification, offsets, or compliance checks
• Direct deposit timing varies by bank and financial institution

⚠️ VERY IMPORTANT:
Please call the Treasury Offset Program to confirm whether you have any past-due obligations (child support, student loans, state debts, etc.) that could reduce or delay your refund.
Offsets are handled before funds are released and are outside of your preparer’s control.

We appreciate your patience and trust during this busy season. Our role is to prepare, transmit, and support — once the IRS and refund bank take over, we monitor updates just like you do.
