A South Florida man living with Alzheimer's is finding hope through a new treatment that helped remove the amyloid plaques linked to the disease. Scott Milinsky, 79, was one of the first patients in Florida to receive Eli Lilly's Kisunla at Broward Health North, where doctors say the medication is designed to slow the progression of early symptomatic Alzheimer's.

After 18 infusions over a year and a half, Milinsky's final PET scan showed the amyloid plaques were gone. While doctors say Kisunla is not a cure, they call it a significant step forward in slowing cognitive decline. Broward Health North is now providing the treatment to more than 60 patients.
