Hello friends!

With summer approaching, the competition for summer jobs has increased ten-fold. And for those recent graduates out there, not only do you have your current graduating class to compete with, but also the graduating classes from the past few years. What sets your resume above the rest?

Think about yourself as an employer for a second. You have a huge pile of applications with cover letters and resumes attached that you need to go through. Ask yourself, "How long would I look at each one?" On average, an employer looks at each resume for 20 seconds. Is 20 seconds enough time to go through your entire resume? Most likely not, and the truth is, employers will not get through your entire resume.

I am busier than it looks on facebook. Helping someone open something up in the local area, helping my parents purchase a business that already exists, and writing resumes like papers in college.

This shift in focus was definitely the right move. Business research and advising is what I was born to do. Got tired of trying to make something that I hated doing work, which is why I made the switch!
