Leadership development does not only happen in corporate boardrooms.

Sometimes God develops your leadership through the work He calls you to do.

For me, that development came through more than 15 years of coaching, speaking, teaching, training, building programs, hosting events, leading communities, and serving women through different seasons of life and business.

At the time, I thought I was building a business.

Looking back, I can see that God was also developing me as a leader.

Every experience taught me something about communication, relationships, influence, service, resilience, and growth.

Never minimize the path God used to develop your leadership.

I was just thinking about how much I love my life lately.

It’s slower.
More intentional.
More peaceful.

No proving.
No performing.
Just growing, protecting my peace, setting boundaries, and still building a life full of purpose.

Got my hair re-tied and trimmed for the summer today, and honestly, it matched how I’ve been feeling… lighter.

You really can build a beautiful life and still not lose yourself in the process.

When I was younger, people often told me I looked unapproachable.

It hurt my feelings, but it also made me more intentional about how people experienced me.

So I chose joy.
I chose warmth.
I chose to make people feel welcomed.

And over the years, I’ve learned that kindness and joy do not make you weak.

They make people feel safe around your presence.

Life is so interesting.

After more than 15+ years of entrepreneurship, coaching, building, teaching, leading communities, and pouring into women, I find myself in a brand new season of growth.

Over the years, my understanding of leadership has changed so much. I’ve learned that leadership is not just about building businesses, accomplishing goals, or constantly pushing.

It’s also about wholeness.
Emotional intelligence.
Healing.
Alignment.
Self-awareness.
And learning how to lead well from the inside out.

And now, in my 50s, I’m excited to share that I recently started pursuing my Master’s degree in Leadership at Grand Canyon University.

I honestly never imagined this season of my life would look the way it does, but I’m grateful for growth, new beginnings, and the courage to continue evolving.

This next chapter feels intentional.
And it feels right.
