Had a great time last week facilitating a mini SWOT analysis for the Sacramento County Sexual Health Promotion Unit!
Wonderful to see a group of public health professionals come together to think strategically about staff wellness across their clinical, outreach, and administrative teams.
As always, the opportunity to support organizations that serve my own community is especially meaningful.

Delivered a CalAIM training to the Marjaree Mason Center today in Fresno, California.
The Marjaree Mason Center provides emergency and longer-term safe housing, along with a wide variety of support services for victims of domestic violence in Fresno County. It was wonderful to learn more about the important work they do, as well as their specific concerns about Enhanced Care Management in serving their populations.
Thank you to for the opportunity to support this workshop and to the MMC for their hospitality.
Had two great evening bike rides in this trip! Fresno is gorgeous.

Met up with a former colleague who was excited to show me the new trail that Porterville has put in. There is a native plant garden where local community members or organizations have plots and plant native species.
Excellent location for a walking meeting and catch up 🙂 We did almost 5 miles !

Joined the site visit from the Maternal/Child Home Visitation Program Officers at the Tule River tribe this week. Had an awesome tour led by two tribal members (thanks Rondii and Lorina!) and of course I loved talking about all the data we've collected in partnership with the community to support the selection of the visitation model the Tribal Clinic plans to implement.

Got to check out the Tule River Justice Center today ! Even the holding cells and observation rooms (we all decided to behave after that).
Very recently, they created a Wellness room that is just for their tribal law enforcement staff. It is open to officers and staff on and off duty. It had a massage chair, aroma therapy, yoga mats, a vibration board, and sound therapy. The officers, dispatchers, and administrators love it and it is inspiring to see people from all across the department practicing self care.
Won't post pics of the showers and holding cells (they were empty which is why we got to tour them).

Great CalAIM ECM workshop with the Taylormade Counseling and Consulting team in Wildomar, CA. They specialize in applied behavior analysis, mental health, anger management, and addiction therapy services.
For a variety of reasons (LA traffic!) the ED graciously allowed me to take a virtual meeting from his office after our workshop. Loving the posters :) Good reminders for all of us !

Appreciated the opportunity to work again with the Sacramento County Public Health Department on a recent staff training.
Facilitated a session on communicating change management - a collaborative effort between the department, myself, and the participants. The discussion and perspectives in the room made the session practical and relevant.
Always glad to support work in my own county. And --- to see old friends! ♥️

Great training on Enhanced Case Management with Reading and Beyond in Fresno, California.
R&B focuses on school readiness, parenting skills, and community health and wellness. CalAIM, California's Medi-Cal transformation program, is supporting local nonprofits working to reduce health disparities with priority populations.
Stayed in the Tower District of Fresno, which has an excellent network of protected bike lanes! Got to bike to work and enjoy lots of spring blooms :)
