Job Summary:
Roll-off Driver Class C or B license.
-[ ] Operates vehicle by DSV’s safety rules and operating procedures, OSHA. (Occupational and Safety Health Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements as well as all local, municipal, state, and federal laws.
- [ ] Performs pre-and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles and documents checks on standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report.).
-[ ] Immediately reports all unsafe situations or service-related issues to Supervisor.
-[ ] Attends and participates in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as required or directed by Supervisor.
-[ ] Works closely with Supervisor to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.
-[ ] Immediately notifies Supervisor of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
-[ ] Notifies Supervisor of service interruptions, including blocked containers, streets, alleyways, or potential safety hazards.
-[ ] Identifies and reports all containers in need of repair or replacement.
-[ ] Climb on top of containers to prepare the load for transport.
-[ ] Loads container on the truck by use of cable and hydraulics and transports to the appropriate facility for dumping.
-[ ] Ensures containers are completely emptied before returning.
-[ ] Positions and/or returns containers in a manner that ensures doors are properly located, and the container does not block driveway entrances or traffic.
-[ ] Follows route assignments as directed and completes end-of-day documentation and the checkout process.
-[ ] Maintains contact with Supervisor to communicate.
-[ ] Performs all duties as scheduled by Supervisor, assists our demolition crew as directed while waiting for bins to be filled.
Qualifications:
- Hold a current Class C or B Drivers License.
- 1 year of experience operating a commercial vehicle or equivalent military driving.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check, which will include previous employment check and motor vehicle record review.
- Ability to work independently and on a team.
- Ability to climb on top of containers to prepare loads for transport.
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, and other physical requirements as necessary to complete the essential duties and responsibilities.
