Some changes with the new fiscal plan approved by both chambers of Congress raises taxes to individual income above the $400 mil and family incomes greater than $450 thousand. And also profits from investments and dividends, and the part of the property estate that exceeds $5 million.
Another noticeable change is that the so-called payroll tax will return to 6.2% in 2013 after being at 4.2% in 2011 and 2012, which means a tax increase of $1,000 to those who earn $50 thousand a year.
-Automatic spending cuts: the first delivery is delayed two months. Congress will seek the way to replace them.
-Tax to those who earn more: coffers will receive about $600 billion within a period of 10 years.
-Tax cut: permanently extending tax cuts enacted in 2001 by former President George W. Bush (2001-2009) for income below $400 thousand per person or $450 k by family. Above that level the income to pay a tax of 39.6%. They currently pay 35%.
-Limits the personal exemptions and deductions detailed for income above $250 thousand or $300 k per household.
-Increases of 35% to 40% the rate of the inheritance tax for estates of more than $10 million per couple.
-Benefit of unemployment insurance: extends by one year. Benefits to at least 2 million people.
-The child tax credit, the income tax credit and the tuition tax credit were extended for 5 years.
