Why I Love The Work I Do With The Polarity Approach™
Recently I worked with a senior leadership team in an organization providing critical services in the healthcare sector. They were navigating the treacherous territory of restructuring, and, understandably, picking their way through a minefield of conflicting perspectives and ideas. Some were pushing to innovate and optimize new technologies to provide better service at lower costs. Others were deeply concerned that the proposed changes would undermine the human-touch culture that had defined their trusted identity for decades. When the time came to align as a team on several strategic imperatives, they found themselves at an impasse.
When we mapped the Polarity of Technological Innovation And Human-Centered Service, the energy in the team shifted dramatically. They saw that their respective points of view weren’t in unresolvable opposition to one another, but were instead, interdependent objectives that could support their shared strategic imperatives.
