Coming to the auction Wednesday are a lot of nice purebred Continental Giants. A whole litter of 8 week olds, 4 - 10 week olds and several does. Also a full blooded light grey 5 month old Flemish Giant doe.

To say it was a tough week at the Crawford County Fair is putting it mildly. Trying to get through 3 nights of auctions without Gary was very very difficult. Gary had volunteered as an auctioneer for the 4-H and FFA Livestock Sale since the very first sale and had purchased animals at most all of them. I had attended with him 34 of the last 36 years. We would sit in the same seats every year for as long as I can remember. Last night at the sale, they honored Gary and placed a seat where we would always sit. It was a wonderful but tearful surprise. They said that seat will be placed in the same place every year. They said he always had a big smile and that was because he loved watching the kids with their animals. Even though it will be very hard to sit by the chair without him in it, he would be very pleased and our family greatly appreciates it. Thank you Sale Committee. Also his advertising sign that hung in the sale arena has been repainted and placed in the memorial section. Again, thank you for honoring the man that touched so many lives over the years and truly deserves it.
