Future talent is discovering its future right here in the Great Lakes Bay Region. Thirty SVSU students spent two days exploring career opportunities, community assets, and quality-of-life experiences across Midland, Frankenmuth, Bay City, and Saginaw during the 2026 Regional Retention Tour. From healthcare, manufacturing, agriculture, hospitality, and the arts to networking with regional employers and community leaders, students experienced firsthand what it means to live, work, and thrive in our region.

✅ 10 job and internship connections reported
✅ 80% of participants reported they are more likely to stay and work in the Region
