β οΈ IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR iPHONE 16/17 SCREEN REPAIRS
Apple has released iOS 27, and we want to be transparent with our customers about an issue that can affect Tap to Wake after replacing the screen on some iPhone 16/17 series models.
Some aftermarket screens currently available use a non-original display IC. After updating to iOS 27, the screen can still function normally, but Tap to Wake may not work.
Before we repair your iPhone 16/17, we will explain your screen options and let you know if there is a potential Tap to Wake limitation.
Current options include:
β
Original / original-quality options β Tap to Wake supported
β
Diagnosable screens β compatible with iOS 27 and Tap to Wake
β
Screens that allow original IC transfer β original display IC can be transferred to maintain Tap to Wake
β οΈ Current Change Cable-Prime (OEM-level) screens β Tap to Wake is currently NOT supported on iOS 27 because they use a non-original IC
We believe customers should know these details before paying for a repair, not after.
π± If you have an iPhone 16 or 17 with a broken screen, please ask us about the available screen options before your repair. Pricing can vary depending on which option you choose.
We will always do our best to explain the differences so you can make an informed decision.
