Check out this Black Bushman 2500 Gallon Rainwater Tank install by Rainwater Collection Concepts out of Bulverde, TX. The pad was constructed by railroad ties and backfilled with decomposed crushed granite. The PVC was painted to perfectly match the color of the building! The overflow plumbing was painted black to blend in with the tank and overflows away from the pad and building. The plumbing includes 2 first flush diverters, although only one is visible. The system also features a Yaktec Levetator mechanical tank level monitor. A very clean and professional install that will collect 100's of thousands of gallons of over many decades to come!

🚨 DROUGHT BUSTING RAIN FOR TEXAS 🚨

The latest National Blend of Models rain output continues to show a large area receiving beneficial rain over the next week (totals shown through Sunday 10/4)!

A large area from southern and southeast Oklahoma down the I-35 corridor to southern Texas is projected to receive an average of 4-6” of rain. This model is a blend of many models so it functions as an average, meaning some areas will likely see larger totals.

While not every location will see big rain totals, those of us who are from Texas know that the drought usually ends by flood, and looks like this time won’t be any different!

We often get the question of how to transition from gutter downspout to PVC pipe when plumbing your system. Making that transition allows for the install of important prefiltration accessories like Leaf Eaters & First Flush Diverters. Cut the downspout leaving enough room for your Leaf Eater to be higher in elevation than the tank inlet. If you cut the gutter downspout at that pictured angle, it will aid in better directing the rainwater into the Leaf Eater. This is a cool system in the front yard of a neighborhood with a HOA. 600 Gallons hidden behind these bushes for gravity fed drip irrigation! Let us know if you have any questions!
