With CVSA Roadcheck 2026 set for May 12β14, inspectors across North America are preparing for a surge in roadside inspections, and new guidance highlights what drivers should review now. The CVSA has released updated inspection cheat sheets outlining key focus areas, including driver documents, vehicle condition, and enforcement priorities.
During the three-day event, officers will conduct Level I inspections, checking licenses, medical cards, logs, and hours-of-service records. ELD compliance will be closely reviewed, along with driver condition and safety practices.
Vehicle inspections will cover brakes, tires, lights, and structural components, while cargo securement remains a major focus. Improperly secured loads could lead to violations or out-of-service orders.
