After a loss, families are often left juggling grief with the logistics that come along with death. When loved ones really need time to process loss, they're forced to make decisions, manage details, and follow timelines out of their control.

If you don't know where to begin, you're not alone. PALS exists to help families navigate after-loss transitions with steady support, so nothing has to be carried alone. We can help you navigate a complex system, prioritize, and even know what can wait.

Support during this time isn’t about rushing decisions. It’s about helping families sort through next steps with care and coordination.

Learn more about PALS or reach out when you’re ready.

The idea of packing up your home can be enough to make you never want to move. We hear you. But sometimes, it's inevitable. Here are some of our favorite tips for packing with less stress:

• Gather your materials: Boxes, packing tape, markers for labeling, newspaper or plastic bags for cushioning, etc.
• Declutter as you go: Instead of making it a whole separate task, declutter things as you pack them up. This keeps it simple and helps you avoid packing things you don't need or want.
• Create a system of order: Start with things you don't use every day, like decor. Then go room by room, to make it feel more manageable.
• Make it a little fun: Trust us on this one. Invite friends over for a pizza and packing party, turn on some music, and time yourself. Do anything that adds a little bit of joy.

And hey, if packing up your space is too much, we're here for you. Contact us today to learn more about our professional services, including moving support.

Hoarding is about far more than clutter. It’s a complex mental health condition where letting go of belongings can feel deeply distressing because those items often carry emotional meaning, memories, and a sense of connection.

Supporting someone through hoarding requires patience, understanding, and compassionate care. At Honoring Aging, we work alongside individuals and families to take slow, intentional steps toward creating safer, more manageable spaces, without adding unnecessary stress or overwhelm.

The photos shown here are from a real-life hoarding case our team helped support.

If you or someone you love needs help navigating a situation like this, we’re here to help.
