NPS is proud to be a sponsor for the V-Day 2017 Cold Spring event. This event is less than a month away - here is some more info anyone interested.

Please join us as we bring voice to the issue of violence against women and girls with A V-Day benefit production of “A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant, and A Prayer”. This will take place at Peace Lutheran Church February 24 and 25 @ 7:00pm. This is a 16 and older performance due to difficult subject/language matter.

The topic of violence against women and girls can seem too overwhelming, what can I really do about this huge issue, how could I make an impact? The latest UN statistic states 1 in 3 women will be beaten, r***d or mutilated. Sadly, Barbara Larson (59) was murdered just days before Christmas in Faribault, MN at the Chamber of Commerce by her ex-husband. Barbara is why we are called to do this, her and so many women and girls like her need to have a voice and we need to hear it. This performance is an opportunity for each of us to take action and show our support for women and girls. Stand together against violence.

By attending the V-Day 2017 Cold Spring event you are part of the solution. You are taking action to raise awareness, funds, and letting women and girls know that this matters, they matter. Funds raised will go to our local organization Central Minnesota Sexual Assault Center to help them to continue to help those impacted by sexual violence along with 10% of funds going to V-Day to continue with their mission of ending violence against women and girls.

We are now into the fundraising phase in which we are working hard to raise as much money as possible for Central MN Sexual Assault Center to continue the work they do helping victims of sexual violence. So here is the CHALLENGE – WE NEED PEOPLE TO STEP FORWARD AND TAKE A LEAD IN THIS The possibilities are endless from having a bake sale, to asking everyone to donate 5 that works in the area you work in, to gathering much needed items for the center. Consider what you could do to raise some funds – any amount is wonderful.
