If you were able to join us at our Labor Day auction yesterday you may have noticed a news camera floating around. WCCO News came by to interview Col. Frank regarding his recent induction into the National Auction Association Hall of Fame! Watch the story here:

For over 40 years, Frank Imholte has sold it all in the real estate and personal property auction business: farm machinery, tools, antiques, guns, furniture. He likes to joke that he's in the precious metals business as he sells a lot of pots and pans.

Some gigs have been cancelled, and people are shut in due to the weather, so I decided I would do a little impromtu concert from the living room tonight. We will go live around 7:30. No event being set up and a Karen is keeping it simple with just one camera. Music for the holidays.

We are excited to welcome our reigning MSAA Champion Auctioneer, JJ Wise, to our 2023 Conference and Show speaker lineup with his session, "Automobile Auctions 101."

JJ grew up in the small North Iowa town of Manly. Growing up in an auction family, JJ found a love for the auction method of marketing at an incredibly young age. At the age of 11, he attended the World Wide College of Auctioneering and went to work selling assets at his family's auction house. JJ always had a love for cars, and it was his dream to become an automobile auctioneer. In 2005, right after graduating with a bachelor of science degree in automotive technology, he was hired at his first automobile market, and that has turned into selling at over 250 automobile auctions per year.

In this session, JJ will cover how technology is evolving automobile auctions faster than the body styles of the vehicles change. He will also talk about what makes a great contract auctioneer and the things that will help you be the best version of you!
