You skip lunch because you have not earned a break yet. You defer the hobby, the rest, the fun, because the real work is never done. And somewhere underneath all of it is a belief you did not choose.

You spent twelve years in a system that told you, not in words but in structure, that what you produce determines what you deserve. Finish the work, then you can eat. Meet the standard, then you get to rest.

That belief did not stay in the classroom. It is running your adult life right now.

It is not a discipline problem. It is not laziness. It is a pattern that got wired in before you had any say in the matter, by a container that was not built for how your brain actually works.

What are you still not allowing yourself because some part of you is waiting to finish the assignment first?

If you would like to look over the IEP Binder contents yourself, you can do that starting on page 23 at this link -https://decodingdyslexiamn.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/IEP_504_Binder.pdf

You do not become a different leader by deciding to be one.

Intention shapes behavior. Repeated behavior becomes habit. Sustained habit becomes identity. The sequence is simple. The step most founders skip is the first one.

No set point for the day means no anchor when the day takes over. For a fast-moving brain, that is not a small gap. That is the whole game.

A few words. Every morning. That is the operating system update that changes everything else.

What would your one-word intention be today?

06/10/2026

"I am too busy to stop and set an intention. I just need to get moving."

The cost: full speed, wrong direction. Every single day.

1. Too busy to set an intention, but somehow you have time to open the fridge three times.

2. "I just need to get moving" is how my Roomba talks right before it headbutts a wall for 45 minutes.

3. Nothing says "productive" like sprinting full speed in a mystery direction and calling it a plan.

4. Momentum without intention is just stylish flailing.

You are not too busy to set a direction. You are too busy because you keep skipping it. That is not a time problem. That is a direction problem, and it is fixable in about 20 seconds.

This week, try it once: one sentence, one intention, before the day loads itself for you.

What belief about productivity has been quietly running your mornings? Drop it in the comments.

You know exactly what needs to get done today. That was never the problem.

The question your brain actually needed this morning was not what. It was who.

Who do you intend to be in the next conversation? Who walks through the door tonight? For different thinkers especially, a fast brain without a set point is not a productivity problem. It is a direction problem.

Two minutes before the day takes over is all it takes to load your own operating system.

Did you set your intention today, or did the day set it for you?

"Goals live in the future. Intentions live in the next five minutes." Coach JoyGenea

You have the goals. The roadmap. The targets.

What you may not have is the thirty-second directive you set before the day takes over.

The one that tells your brain who is showing up, not just where you are headed.

For a high-output founder, that gap is not small. It is where the friction lives.

What did you load this morning before the day started writing it for you?

06/05/2026

You planned your quarter. You did not plan who you were going to be this morning.

For high-output founders, the missing variable is rarely effort. It is direction. Your brain is already being programmed at 6am. Intention is just deciding who does the programming.

Two minutes. Before the coffee is finished. Before the first notification lands. Set the directive and let it anchor you when the day tries to take the wheel.

What was your intention this morning? Or did the day set it for you?

I find names for things on purpose.

Not for clinical reasons. Because a name is a precision tool. Once something has a name, you can catch it before it costs you.

The self-check for the Right Word Vice Effect is one sentence: are my feelings right now possibly because I am waiting for an exact set of words from someone?

That question is the pressure valve. You do not have to wait for someone else to release it.

Some brains are wired to stay locked until the right input arrives. Naming that is not a diagnosis. It is a switch.

Who in your world needs to hear this right now?

06/03/2026

"Once they say what they should say, it will be fine."

The cost: you are outsourcing your next move to someone who may never say the thing.

1. Ah yes, the ancient prophecy: once they say the Correct Sentence, your nervous system will finally unclench.

2. Nothing says emotional safety like outsourcing your inner peace to someone else's mouth noises.

3. You are living like there is a secret phrase that unlocks happiness: "I apologize in the exact tone you imagined."

4. Waiting for the right words is like waiting for a cat to respect your boundaries. Optimistic, though.

The key you are waiting for might have to come from you. That is not giving in. That is getting your clarity back without needing permission from anyone else's vocabulary.

Try this: set a 2-minute timer and write "Even if they never say it, I can still choose my next step." Read it out loud.

Has anyone ever said the exact right thing and you felt the whole situation release? Tell me about it in the comments.

I watched a founder's whole body relax on a Zoom call.

Not because anything was resolved. Because I named the loop they were in.

Three days of drafting a disciplinary write-up. Anger that kept tightening. All of it pointed at words an employee had not said.

One sentence: "You're waiting for those specific words only." They sat back and said: "You're right."

The write-up disappeared. The conversation replaced it.

That is what naming a blind spot actually looks like in real time.

What loop have you been tightening around without realizing it?
