In 1981 I bought an old sign shop in Waukegan that went out of business and started my own thing. At Williams Signs I did a lot of hand painted truck lettering and pinstriping. I sand blasted redwood signs and painted commercial signs for all sorts of businesses. I left Waukegan in the late 90's and have been, more or less, doing custom stuff since. It's 2010, and I still have the same old paint b

ox I bought from day one - and will have it to the day I die. Over the past years there have been a lot of changes in this business with almost everyone in the trade going to computerized artwork and vinyl - what the hell. My choice is to do it in the old school way and hand paint all my artwork. After pushing a brush around for 30 years, I'm not planning on making vinyl stickers at any time in the near future.
