Padgett Swim School Swim Lessons About the Instructor: I am certified in PediaSwim, a program developed by Joy McGinty based at SouthWest Aquatics in Winter Garden, FL.

After my nephew (at 8 months old) went through the PediaSwim program I was hooked! With a background in competition swimming, lifeguarding, swim instruction and aquatic programming I thought I knew the importance of learning to swim and how to teach it but I quickly realized I had no clue! Watching Joy with babies and children was amazing but even more amazing was my time in the water with her learning how she does it! I truly believe everyone needs to know how to swim, babies, toddlers, and adults! This is a life lesson not just a sport! About the Lessons: Infants, toddlers, children and adults learn basic independence and survival skills in the water through swimming and floating at an age-appropriate level. Private, one-on-one lessons help prepare students for a safe and fun aquatic experience. Infants learn appropriate swimming postures to allow them to swim face down in the water, rotate onto their back to a floating position that enables them to rest and breathe, then return to a facedown swimming posture. This sequence of swim-float-swim can be continued until a desired location is reached. This important skill will prepare your child should he/she accidentally fall into the water. Children also learn to swim between adults, pool steps and the pool edge for fun and recreation. It’s that time of year…pools are closing and the temps are dropping. Don’t let your kids get rusty on their swim skills! Come see us this fall and winter to keep them swimming! Rachel, Brooklynn and Alli are ready to swim with them!

Vincennes friends please share…I know there has been some discussion going around about Vincennes needing a place that offers year round indoor swim lessons….guess what St Francisville is only a 15 minute drive! I offer year round swim lessons. Starting with survival all the way up to stroke! I can start them as young as 6 months! I am certified in PediaSwim and have 14 years experience as a full time job! Not a side summer gig! Message for more details! Oh we also offer water aerobics!
