A February 2025 lawsuit says John-Paul Miller hurt a 15-year-old girl in 1998, when he was 19 and a youth church leader. He has denied that.

In March 2025 he sued the girl for libel, calling the claims false. Both cases are still open.

In 1998, as a teenager, Miller was convicted of assault and battery after he hit a woman with his truck and drove nearly 100 yards with her on the hood, The Post and Courier reported. He pleaded guilty.

South Carolina’s Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services pardoned him in 2022.

His first wife is also missing from the official story. Alison “Ali” Williams was married to him for 16 years and did not sit for the docuseries. In an affidavit read on the Crime Ju**ie podcast, she said Mica’s account of the marriage matched her own: “many of the details shared with me, by Mica, are so similar to my own experiences with J.P. that I know she was being truthful.” 😐

During a 2001 Atlanta dr*g raid, police breached a basement to find an unthinkable horror: three starving, parasite-ridden infants—a bear, a lion, and a tiger—clinging together in the dark.

Rescued by Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary, Baloo, Leo, and Shere Khan fiercely resisted separation.

Defying nature, these apex predators refused to part, forcing caretakers to house them together.

What followed shattered scientific expectations.

While cross-species childhood bonds typically evaporate at maturity, the "BLT" brotherhood solidified. For 15 years, they remained inseparable, grooming and playing as they grew into massive, hundreds-of-pounds giants.

Tragedy struck in 2016 when Leo succumbed to inoperable tumors, followed by Shere Khan in 2018.

Today, Baloo survives as the final guardian of their legacy.

Yet the unbreakable bond endures; Leo and Shere Khan rest together in the very habitat they shared, ensuring the trio who refused to be separated in life remain bound forever.

After talking to so many people with unexplained health issues, I’ve started wondering whether there is sometimes a (dark) energetic or spiritual layer we’re completely ignoring.

I keep hearing strangely specific experiences:

• Waking at the same time every night with tingling
• Buzzing or vibrating in one part of the body
• A creeping sensation traveling up an arm toward the head
• Sudden weakness or heaviness that comes and goes
• Feeling that something is simply “off” without knowing why

Then there are deeper mental experiences:

• Hearing voices
• Intrusive, unusually dark thoughts
• Dysphoria and suddenly entering extremely dark mental states
• Dramatic shifts from positive to negative, including those experienced with bipolar disorder
• Feeling disconnected from yourself or your surroundings

We can describe these through neurotransmitters, hormones, brain circuitry, trauma, sleep, medications and physiology, and those explanations matter.

But does describing the chemistry explain EVERYTHING about the experience?

Humans have not always interpreted illness exclusively through molecules.

Across cultures and throughout history, illness has also been interpreted through spiritual frameworks: negative energy, spiritual oppression, possession, imbalance or evil influences.

Even parasites and infectious illnesses have carried spiritual interpretations in some traditions, where physical invasion or disease was sometimes believed to have a deeper spiritual meaning.

Maybe you call it a demon.
Maybe you call it negative energy.
Maybe you call it a disturbance in consciousness.

I’m NOT saying every unexplained symptom is spiritual, and I certainly wouldn’t ignore physical causes or medical care.

I’m saying I’m increasingly uncomfortable pretending the material world is the ONLY layer worth considering.

But the way people have begun to explain their illnesses, it feels something beyond the physical.

Nutrition matters. Toxins matter. Pathogens matter. Stress matters. Physiology matters.

But perhaps there are aspects of the human experience that cannot be completely reduced to molecules.

And maybe we should at least be willing to talk about them.
