WHERE THE IDEA STARTED ✨

This design was inspired by Strip 47 from my original Strip by Strip series.

The first version used the Sway 4 with a little hand-guided free-motion quilting to create those sweet hearts.

I still love the original… but of course I had to ask:

What else could this become?

AND HERE’S THE NEW VERSION 😍

I dropped the free-motion quilting and brought in the Sway 2 along with the Sway 4 to create crisper, more structured hearts with ruler quilting.

This is exactly what these new tutorials are all about — taking the original Strip by Strip designs and showing you how to keep building, adapting, and creating.

Grab your workbook, open to Strip 47, and start doodling right along with me.

The brand-new FREE tutorial is available TODAY!

This little clip is showing the original Strip 47 from my FREE Strip by Strip series. 💕

In the original version, I used the Sway 4 Machine Quilting Ruler along with a little hand-guided free-motion quilting to create these sweet little hearts.

And I still love this design exactly as it is.

But tomorrow… we’re taking it one step further.

I’m releasing a brand-new FREE tutorial where I’ll adapt this original Strip 47 design by bringing in the Sway 2 along with the Sway 4 to create a crisper, more ruler-quilted version of those hearts.

Same inspiration.
Fresh new path.
More ruler quilting.
So many possibilities.

This is exactly why I love going back to the original Strip by Strip designs — they’re not just one-and-done ideas. They’re foundations you can keep building on.

So grab your Strip by Strip Design Workbook, open to Strip 47, and get ready to doodle because tomorrow’s new video is such a fun one.

IT STARTED WITH A CRAZY IDEA! ✨

Years ago, I had one of those crazy ideas that I sometimes get! 😂 Little did I know that this one would turn into 365 days of machine quilting, creativity, learning, and SO much inspiration!

LET'S GO BACK TO THE BEGINNING...

After developing my first machine quilting rulers, the 4-N-1, Mini 4-N-1, Inside-Out, and Mini Inside-Out, I was constantly discovering new ways to use them. But I wanted to share MORE of those possibilities with all of you!

THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS!

One thing I've always loved about ruler quilting is how versatile these tools can be. The same ruler can create so many completely different designs, simply by changing how you position it or combine shapes!

365 DAYS. 365 DESIGNS.

So I challenged myself to create and teach ONE new machine quilting design every single day for an entire year. Yep, 365 days of quilting! And I decided to build the entire series around some of the most basic shapes in quilting.

KEEPING IT SIMPLE!

Squares, triangles, and circles! That's it! Well, sort of. 😉 By using those basic shapes, sometimes individually and sometimes combined, I wanted to show just how much creativity is possible with a few simple quilting rulers.

I LEARNED SO MUCH!

What I didn't expect was how much this series would teach ME! I learned so much about filming, recording tutorials, explaining my techniques, and, most importantly, pushing myself to become more creative.

CREATIVITY GROWS WITH PRACTICE!

Some days the ideas came easily, and other days I really had to stretch my imagination! But that's one of my favorite things about quilting. The more you practice, experiment, and try new things, the more possibilities you begin to see!

I DIDN'T WANT THE INSPIRATION TO END!

When the year was over, I had 365 designs and an entire library of instructional videos. I loved what we'd created, but I wanted to make it easier for quilters to revisit their favorite designs whenever they needed a little inspiration.

THAT'S WHEN THE WORKBOOK WAS BORN! 📖

I created the Let's Stitch a Block a Day step-by-step workbook, featuring ALL 365 designs illustrated at full scale! And, of course, I included one of my fa

WHERE IT STARTED 💕

This is the original Strip 80.

I quilted the scallops with the Sway 3 Machine Quilting Ruler, then filled them in with a sweet hand-guided flower.

And honestly? I still LOVE this version.

But of course my brain immediately started thinking…

What else could this become?

WHERE IT WENT ✨

For the new version, I dropped the free-motion flower and brought in even MORE Sway rulers.

Sway 2 + Sway 3 + Sway 4 = this gorgeous triple scallop design.

The original Sway 3 scallops become the foundation, then the Sway 2 and Sway 4 build right on top of them.

This is exactly what Strip by Strip is about — learning the foundation, understanding your rulers, and then using that knowledge to create something completely new.

Grab your workbook, open to Strip 80, and start doodling!
