If you haven't done so already, turn off your irrigation during the colder months here in Saint George, UT. Make a cup of tea instead and hydrate your senses.
Just simmer some cinnamon, star anise, coriander, cloves, ginger, cardamom and turmeric for about 10 minutes and you got yourself a liquid Christmas.

Did you know that Southern Utah is establishing an AVA (American Viticultural Area)? One of the vineyards is in Dammeron Valley, UT. I visited them and talked to Mark Bold (vineyard manager) and John Delaney (w**e maker)of Bold and Delaney Winery. They make an exclusive Pinot Noir for the Painted Pony Restaurant in Saint George.
