If you haven't done so already, turn off your irrigation during the colder months here in Saint George, UT. Make a cup of tea instead and hydrate your senses.
Just simmer some cinnamon, star anise, coriander, cloves, ginger, cardamom and turmeric for about 10 minutes and you got yourself a liquid Christmas.

Did you know that Southern Utah is establishing an AVA (American Viticultural Area)? One of the vineyards is in Dammeron Valley, UT. I visited them and talked to Mark Bold (vineyard manager) and John Delaney (wine maker)of Bold and Delaney Winery. They make an exclusive Pinot Noir for the Painted Pony Restaurant in Saint George.
