Now Hiring: Data Center Operations Specialist in Boise, Idaho.

Part-time, and yes, we’ll pay you to study for your Network+.

You’ll monitor critical infrastructure, patrol the facility, handle remote hands for clients, and work tickets from first alert to resolution.

During shift downtime, we encourage our team to work toward industry certifications, including CompTIA, Cisco, and Schneider Electric University. That time is paid.

The details:
- Roughly 24 hours a week, mostly mornings
- Premium holiday pay
- Monthly technical training
- Free snacks and drinks on shift (we know what matters)

You’ll need to live in the Treasure Valley and pass a background check and drug screen.

Broadcom told customers to call Insight. Now Insight is out.

Last September, after cutting thousands of VMware partners, Broadcom named Insight, SHI and Connection as the safe national picks for renewals. This week Insight, a Pinnacle partner with $8.2 billion in revenue, learned it can no longer resell VMware licenses in North America. Its own statement says Broadcom is narrowing the partner ecosystem.

Partners are saying the quiet part out loud. One CEO told CRN that Broadcom wants partners who are 100 percent loyal. Another asked who gets voted off the island next. The partner base has already dropped from roughly 30,000 to 18,000, and customers have been absorbing price increases of 200 to 400 percent.

Gartner expects 55 percent of enterprises to start proofs of concept for VMware alternatives by 2029. In 2026 that number is 25 percent.

You can't steer Broadcom. You can pick infrastructure where your data leaves when you say so. Standard formats, no exit fees, no permission slip.

Data portability is the requirement now. Enough with the games.

You'll work on real infrastructure, learn from an experienced team, and build skills that grow your career.

What you'll do:

- Preventive maintenance on electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems
- Troubleshoot with ohmmeters and schematics
- Run and terminate Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cable
- Test connections with cable testers and tone generators
- Log work orders and asset history in CMMS
- Work alongside our facilities manager and team

What we're looking for:

- Facilities or building systems experience, ideally in a data center or critical environment
- Comfortable with electrical codes and hand/power tools
- HVAC and plumbing know-how
- Bonus: BMS software or familiarity with ANSI/TIA or BICSI standards

That's from Deloitte's new AI infrastructure survey of 515 enterprise leaders.

Doubled. In 2-3 years.

The detail that matters: 68% are choosing cloud-managed edge. Cloud handles the orchestration, but the compute runs locally, near the data.

Enterprises are waiting on massive centralized buildout. They want inference close to the users and systems that need it.

Infrastructure demand has always followed three things: latency, data gravity, and cost. Right now all three are pulling AI workloads toward regional markets, not away from them.

Everyone's talking about how big AI infrastructure is getting.

That $40 fan is currently the most critical piece of cooling equipment in the building.

We’ve all seen it. Some have done it. Every IT closet has had one, wedged in during a heat wave years ago as a “temporary” fix. No one dares touch it.

Office AC keeps people comfortable. Servers don’t care about comfort.

Pack 15 kW into a converted closet and the room becomes an oven. BMS sets the AC back Friday evening. Hardware cooks all weekend. Monday’s outage was decided three days earlier.

Billing, contacts, service status, support tickets. It's all in one place now, and it's there whenever you want it. Saturday at 2am before a maintenance window? Log in and check.

Prefer to pick up the phone and talk to us? That hasn't changed and it won't.

Permissions are more precise now. Access used to come in bundles, so people ended up with visibility they never asked for. Now you assign exactly what each person on your team needs.

Existing customers, your login works today. The old portal redirects automatically.

On September 14, we launch our new Customer Portal at my.valorc3.com. We rebuilt it around what customers told us they needed: more visibility and less friction.

Inside the new portal, you can manage authorized users and permissions, subscribe to service status updates, view billing, and create and track support tickets, all in one place.

Current customers: your account's primary administrator can request early access now by emailing [email protected]. Otherwise, watch for your invitation on September 14.

Shout out to Allan Pudlitzke, Cloud Engineer at ValorC3 Data Centers.

Most of our customers know Allan as the guy who makes their cloud environments run. Turns out he's also a great photographer.

Allan took the updated photos of our Boise facility (BOI-1), and they show the place the way it deserves to be seen. BOI-1 went through a full expansion in 2024, and our newest data hall, DC3, has 750 kW available right now.
