I organize my work with founders into five elements. The Plan, the Brand, the Offer, the Signal, and the Mechanics. I call it the Solaris Method.
Another way to read it: strategy, identity, what you sell, how you market it, and the technology to run it all.
But here's what I've learned. There's a current that runs through all five. And if that current isn't there, the whole thing dies. It's like oxygen. I don't call it air though. I call it the heart.
A plan without heart is dead clockwork you'll never execute. A brand runs on the founder's life force, and customers feel it instantly. An offer you're not passionate about, the market knows. A half-hearted signal is a weak, fuzzy transmission people scroll right past. And mechanics bolted together half-heartedly break in front of the very people you're trying to serve.
Five elements. One current.
This connects to the Gene Keys by Richard Rudd, the 29th Gene Key. The shadow is half-heartedness, the gift is commitment, the highest expression is devotion.
My job is to help founders get clear. Clear enough to express what their soul is offering and what the marketplace is actually calling for, and to meet them in that place.
