Our winery was established by Koerner and Joan Rombauer, whose appreciation for The Joy of Wine and the pleasure it brings to family and friends stems from Koerner’s great aunt, Irma Rombauer, author of the internationally-renowned Joy of Cooking. Our family continually seeks out the finest vineyard sites for each varietal we farm, and the quality and character of our wines reflect an embrace of t

raditional and cutting-edge practices both in the winery and in our sustainably farmed vineyards. As our family’s second and third generations continue to carry out the vision of Koerner and Joan, we’re proud to produce critically acclaimed Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc. Helena winery, set high on a tree-covered knoll just off Silverado Trail, features a lovely porch with stunning views of the Mayacamas Mountains, a garden with over 100 varieties of plants, whimsical works of art collected by Koerner Rombauer and wine caves. Save this for your next Rombauer hour. Creamy goat cheese, sweet fig jam, a crispy crostini, and a glass of Pinot Noir. The recipe for a perfect summer evening.

Goat Cheese Fig & Prosciutto Crostini

Ingredients:
French baguette
Olive oil
Goat cheese
Fig jam
Prosciutto
Honey
Fresh thyme

How to Assemble:
1. Base: Toast thin slices of a French baguette brushed with olive oil. 2. Spread: Smear each slice with a layer of creamy, tangy goat cheese. 3. Topping: Top with a dollop of fig jam and a small piece of torn prosciutto. 4. Garnish: Drizzle with a little honey and a sprinkle of fresh thyme.
